A Little Finish and A Lot of Chat

Well here at last is Tatty Teddy which has been a nightmare to stitch. The rug /shadow at the bottom should have been grey too but I would have screamed at another grey stitch LOL. I would love to tell you I enjoyed stitching him - I didnt I spent so much time dealing with the frog that decided to visit and began to think he would never get done. Still he is out the way and I am leaving my charity stitching on one side to go back to my rota for a while - I need to regain my sanity. TT will be washed tomorrow (a condition of the donation) and then I will let Colly have him for the Rainbows Childrens Hospice Quilt.
Yesterday Rachael (Brokenfairy) came to spend the day with me. She had bought some of her stitching with her. One of them was CDC which looks fantastic, I liked it in her blog but wow it looks so much different in real life. She had also been very brave and dyed the fabric for it herself and it was lovely. I really must have a go at that soon. I then bored the pants off her showing her all my finished pieces and all my wips - after all these years with no one to really share these things with I feel like the man wandering the desert and suddenly coming on an oasis.
I am off to walk the dog this morning - it looks quite nice out so that will maybe take an hour or two and then I am hoping to have a peaceful day stitching on Heirloom Christmas.
In the meantime I will leave you with a picture of my beautiful flowers which Rachael had bought for me. Oh I just love flowers.

may your frogs stay in their ponds.

I wasn't bored I loved seeing all your beautiful stitching,I know what you mean about getting the occasional "Yes it's nice" from the DH is not encouraging.
I was jealous of all your wonderful pieces and of your stitching room.
Glad to see TT has his backstitching on now.;0)

Tatty Teddy looks gorgeous.

It's great to have stitching friends visit. I don't have any that live near me, and due to the distance and my lack of confidence in driving, not to mention the cost of petrol, I only see Colly occasionally. BUT when we do get together the time just flies by, we're having so much fun. The flowers that Rachael gave you are lovely.

Tatty Teddy - I really can't say I would want to stitch one.

Isn't Rachael lovely. I met her in December last year, I took her Advent exchange box to her and stayed for a couple of hours.

Hope you're having a nice relaxing day stitching.

Sounds like you had a great time with Rachael. I love spending time with fellow stitchers but it doesn't happen that often - maybe once a year.

TT - oh I know just how you feel. I have stitched a few of those in the past. They are more difficult than they look by far. Especially all the backstitching. You made a great job of yours and I like the red ground - it makes him look like he's sitting on a red blankie.

Your Tatty Teddy is adorable! I can relate though about him being a nightmare to stitch but not because of the grey. He's got TOO many back stitches. I have nothing against back stitches but that's entirely too many LOL! Congratz on persevering on the grey.

Beautiful flowers by the way :)

Congratulations on the finish. I've got that Tatty Ted design and a Christmas Tatty Ted awaiting my needle and thread and they may languish forever in the bottom of my pattern box.

I did a Tatty Ted birth announcement for both my daughters and after those two I never want to stitch another Tatty Ted again.

And all that blathering above is just me trying to say that you have done an amazing thing finishing your Tatty Ted and I salute you.

TT looks lovely. Must say he's one character I've been actively avoiding, purely due to the backstitching, so I take my hat off to you for persevering.
Beautiful flowers from Rachael. Sounds like you both had a great time. :0)
Looking forward to seeing HC again!

The Tatty finish looks great! I adore him but can see how difficult he would be to backstitch and I just don't have that much patience anymore.
