Boys Things

This weekend was cold, snowy and wet - not my kind of thing at all lol, Im a sunshine flower. Saturday Oscar and Grandpa left me to do some house type things and went of for a cycle ride. They just reached the park as the rain came down so a visit to the cafe for hot chocolate and gingerbread men (sorry I am told it said gingerbread persons on the menu) was in order. They both arrived home wet but happy.

Sunday we went to Calke Abbey for there annual kite flying day. Although it had been snowing when we woke it was brightening up and there was not much sign of snow when we got there.

They had great fun flying there kite, but after taking some pictures Granny retired to the car to stitch lol.

Granny did get out of the car to go for a nice walk and couldnt resist adding this picture of him running down a steep hill

And lastly no day out is complete without a game of football.

Ooooo a kite flying day at Calke, must remember that for next year. We haven't been kite flying for ages. They have kite flying days at Stafford Castle but there isn't really enough room there. My son lost his kite some years ago there when it got tangled up with anohter one. Much more room at Calke.

I meant to comment at the time on your QotN finish but I've been busy with Spring cleaning and visitors. I love the colour changes you made to the white pelre, I think the lavender colour looks great, it really shows up well. Well done on a really beautiful finish!

Helen,
I have bookmarked your blog because I want to watch to see how your SAL come along. You have a really good eye for color. I think out of all the Papillon samplers I have seen, I like your colors the best and would love to know what you chose. I also think you made really beautiful choices on the EMS sampler and the October Sky sampler. Please keep up the wonderful work

Looks and sounds like a good time was had by all (especially hot chocolate and gingerbread people). Glad the weather cooperated too, the park looked like a fun outing.
