Here is my second cottage in the Village Of My Heart. Ann put her name down on this one quite early on but I still have quite a lot of properties free if any of my dear cyber friends would like to put there name down for one. I also have a bank/po, a florist, a hair dresser/hat shop, a tea shop, a craft shop and a gift shop that need owners if anyone is interested.
At the stitching meet up last weekend I managed to acquire a book called The Village which I was thrilled with as the church on the front was a much better size than the one I had (mine was more like a cathedral than a village church lol). When I got home and looked at the book more closely I found it contained three shops which were far prettier than the original ones I had, so they were replaced too and I added a couple more to make up what I wanted.
I am now working on the landscaping for Ann's cottage and will stick with that for the rest of the weekend and try to get that completed before my holiday.
Not much else to report on the stitching front. I have completed the main part of my tissue box cover and keep picking it up and doing a little more of the blanket stitch which has had to be altered slightly as I made an error when stitching the outer kloister block, still that will just make it "personalized" lol. Once the blanket stitch is completed it is just a matter of cutting and wrapping the bars then it will be done.
I will try and post after the weekend with both an update of the village and also a map of my village as I have now managed to do a printable plan - mainly so I can keep track of who lives where.
Have a lovely weekend everyone and thank you once again to all those who take the time to visit my little corner of Bloggers World.

Helen, the little cottage is just perfect! I can't wait to see the next addition.
What a gorgeous little cottage.
The Tales of Beedle the Bard are properly aimed at older children that would read the Harry Potter books. Whilst most of the tales themselves are suitable for young (5-8)children to listen to or read (if they are good readers)I doubt they will enjoy Dumbledore's explanations which are definately aimed at an adult or young adult (15-18)audience. It's a funny book that will appeal to different age groups for different reasons. Hope that helps.
Really cute cottage Helen, have a good weekend!
Sweet Cottage! Had to smile at the title, round here Ann's Cottage is a group of high-end surf fashion shops, where Eloise would dearly love to seperate me from every last penny so she could have all the latest Roxy gear. Yours looks much safer ;)
I love this new addition to the Village of your heart. Oh, I love this kind of cottage very much. Once I lived in one of them for a couple of weeks during the holidays - it was like paradise.
Congratulations on your new stitch book find.
Beautiful :o) and I love the name of your village.
That cottage is adorable and I'm sure anyone would be happy to own that one!
Your little cottage is soooooooo cute!! You have done a wonderful job on it! I am a ibit behind on my blogging so I didn't know you had changed your blog but it really pretty and I love the stitched piece at the top!!
Love Ann's cottage, looking forward to seeing it and the map as a whole. I'd love to have the craft shop Helen, it's always been a dream job of mine, to run my own and do classes etc and have a little cafe on the side lol.
That is a beautiful little cottage :)
Rats Lisa, I would have loved the craft shop named after me but as second best I would love to have a tea shop. I would do lots of unusual teas as I only drink decaffeinated infusions.Lots of lovely scones and cakes - which I can't eat (well I do eat scones as you have to have some pleasures in life. LOL
A lovely addition to your village.
The cottage is lovely Helen. I am looking forward to seeing your village grow. I would like to take care of the gift shop and help people choose nice gifts for their friends and family:) Used to work in one and loved it:)
So enjoying watching your neighbourhood develop. Well if the craft shop has already been bagged I shall just have to apply for a job there. LOL :0)
